About me

A little history about my career so far
I made my first homepage when I was 12, back in ’99. We had just got our first computer at home. (You kids today are so lucky)
I had a lot of troubles with the frames I remember. Could not quite understand how I linked the the htm files to the frames.
Had to ZIP it and send it over to a friends father who fixed it (he was probably a wizard). Quite embarrassing when I think about it.

The following years I made a lot of different pages just for fun. Published maybe one or two of them.
Started to learn PHP, set up forums with PHPBB, made my first CMS.

During High school I started doing web sites for people I knew and when I graduated I started my own company.
I did work with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and Javascript. My main customer during these years was the Peace & Love festival. I created a lot of their internal systems and CMS for 8 years. It gave me tons of challenges and practice and probably forged me into the developer I am today.

After 6 years with my company I decided I had reached the end of the road and needed to do something else for a while (was thinking about quitting web development). So I went to San Diego, CA, USA to study at the San Diego State University for a semester.

When I got back I started working for Sogeti as a consultant. After working as a pure frontend developer for several project I’m probably here to stay, although I still do overall development on my spare time to not get completely lost in the frontend.
